Port Townsend Weekend

Aaron and I have been wanting to do some hikes up in the Olympic National Forest for quite a while: the problem is, it's too far to do in a day trip. A while ago I found a groupon for a place in Port  Townsend for a buy one night get one free deal. I bought it and we have been saving it for good weather. We finally used it this weekend and had a great time. We did get rained on one day, but other than that we had good weather and saw some beautiful scenery. It is AMAZING up there!!

Our cabin was located on Discover Bay. Before we left on the last day we spent some time walking down on the beach. It was a beautiful location and a wonderful weekend. I love spending time with my honey!!!

 

Chrome Molly in Auburn (A Private Party)

Here's the thing about private parties..... there is no one to cut you off when you have had too much to drink. There were some pretty crazy people at this party, including one who wouldn't keep his hands off my arms. He kept telling me how much he loved the way my arms looked. Well, that was just amo for everyone to make fun of me the rest of the day - oh well.

They had this huge blow up water slide in their little tiny Auburn yard. It was kind of funny to see. Everyone was having a blast on it though, and the band ended up going down in their clothes on the break they were so hot. Fun times.

Les Mis

For Jess's graduation present, Aaron and I bought her tickets to go see Les Mis. She loves the music, and has the entire thing memorized. The day finally came and we had a great evening. A wonderful Italian Dinner (Jess had a hankering for lasagna) and then off to Seattle for the play. She LOVED it. It was amazing as usual!

 

Happy Birthday Jeff!

Can you believe it?! Jeff is 22 years old now. Oh my gosh how time flies. We had a simple birthday for Jeff this year. With grandma Smout not even living here any more, and grandma Taylor in California taking care of Jerry, it was quiet around here. Jeff just had a couple friends over, we ate pizza, drank way too much soda and then the boys spent the rest of the night Haloing it up.

Dave Fest

Every year Debbie and Ron (Debbie is the lead singer in Aaron's band) have a huge party. They own some property up in Stampede Pass and the party is up there. Everyone just camps out in the field or in the "Morning Wood Campground" they have on the property.

It's kind of like a mini Woodstock. Every night they have bands lined up to play so we can rock out and dance. On Saturday Debbie runs a "Build-a-Band" even for everyone to join in. Even if you are not a musician you can at least head up with a tambourine or hit the dance floor. I even got brave and played drums on two songs - it was a blast!

Chrome Molly played on Saturday night. Jess and Alex met us up there Saturday afternoon and hung out with us for the evening and camped with us that night. We had a lot of fun!

On Sunday afternoon, after we got all packed up and the kids headed home, Aaron and I went over to Lost Lake for a little while. It was a beautiful spot to just relax for a short while.

Roasting Weenies and Marshmallows

What a great night with family and friend. We haven't seen Brett in so long I was beginning to think he dropped of the face of the earth. We had such a great evening just sitting around the fire catching up and eating. I wish more nights could be like this one!
