My Mad Photoshop Skills

I love photos! We have a corner in our Rec. Room that is "Old Western". We have my dad's old riding saddle, a Taylor - 1890's Winchester Rifle that Aaron restored, one of my dad's cowboy hats and cowboy boots, a 1800's barn lantern and some fun pics that we did in Sepia to add to the feel (a good ol' Jackson Hole, dress as westerners pic, and some pics from Trek). These are my latest pics I added just today. I spent a lot of time restoring them, putting them in sepia and then framing them in cool rod iron frames. Love it! Nailed it!

Spring Is Finally Here!?

Good ol' weather in the Pacific Northwest. It should pretty much be like this for ... THE NEXT THREE OR FOUR MONTHS!

Checking In

Our lives have been pretty uneventful lately, so there hasn't been too much to blog these days. But, since this is how I keep in touch with some of you, I thought I should at least get something on here.

Jessica has been having a huge problem lately with her TMJ. She has been seeing a massage therapist for about two weeks now just trying to get it under control so that she can open her mouth like a normal human being. Poor thing. They want to go in Friday and pry her jaw open for an hour doing more work on her back braces, but I may have to be stubborn about it. If it's a purely cosmetic thing they want to work on then I'm going to have to tell them no. I think if we did that we would be back to square one with the jaw. Don't want to do that.

Jeff has been uber busy lately with school. This has been his hardest quarter yet, and most of his time is spent in front of his computer doing homework. I have to say though, he is learning a lot of really cool things, and is really getting to be known in the "modding" world. (Ask Scott to explain it to you :o)... He is getting a lot of requests. Most of the time he has to turn people down right now because he doesn't have a lot of extra time, but he has worked on a few good Mods. I REALLY hope when all is done he can land a good job doing what he loves - Modeling, texturing and lighting. He is very good at it. Only a week and half left and he will be done with this quarter and off to play in Colorado for week.

Aaron is keeping his Monday's off busy with trying to find other home based work. He has spent a ton of time building a new website for himself (check it out!! Click on his pic on the left) that is really awesome, has gotten designed himself some killer business cards and is hoping to get some music things going. Hopefully students mostly right now. He also just finished a new song, which is on his web site as well, under the guitar geek tab. He has also done a bit of work for my business, and gotten some work with Alison. Hopefully he'll be able to find some students or more graphic work soon to fill the void. It would be so awesome if he could just tell Sholdt, if they wanted to go back to working on Mondays, that he is good and wants to keep his schedule the same.

Me... not much here. Same ol' same ol'. I really think my life consists of dishes, laundry and work. Not much else happens in my life too much. I am also trying very desperately to keep building my business up so we can continue to have security in our lives. Things are going slow, but well. I just spent the whole day today doing stuff for myself though, and that was AMAZING! I haven't done that in A LONG time. I waxed brows and lips, put a few foils in the hair to camouflage some of the grey coming in, cut about 3 inches off my hair (unfortunately I just can't do really long hair, it's just too thin) shaved my legs, did my tan in a bottle and gave myself a pedicure. I'm feeling pretty fancy right now.

Anyway, there ya go, that is what's going on in the Cheney household right now. In a nutshell - Life.

Okay, We're Losers!

First, I have to explain myself. Jessica and I have been playing cards tonight, one of our favorite sitting around the house past times. For Christmas she got these cool cards that light up under a black light, but we have never tested them out before. What better way to entertain yourself on a Saturday night. Well, one thing led to another and... well you know how it is... we were testing everything under the black light. Holy Crap! Jessica's freckles looked freaky!!! It was so hilarious, we were about to pee our pants. Of course, I had to be blogtarded and share with everyone, so here they are.
