Happy Birthday Jeff!

Well, there's not much more official Jeff can get now as far as age goes. He is 21 now and can go and do whatever he wants. Boy, time flies!!! He got to spend the day with his friends Danny and Jordan, eat pizza, have lots of pop and then go to work.

New Yard Swing

Aaron has been wanting a swing for the yard for a long time, so we finally got one. We got a great deal on one while Scott was still working at Lowe's. We just had to wait for our trip to their house to pick it up. Now, we are home, it's assembled, and we can start enjoying it. It's a great, relaxing addition to our back yard. Love it!

Utah/Idaho Vacation

Time for our annual trek to the Utah/Idaho area to visit family. We really hate the drive, but how else ya gonna get there when you are too poor to fly? At least we are stuck in the car for 13 HOURS with a bunch of people you love to be with :o).

On the way down though, we broke the drive up into two. We left Friday evening as soon as Aaron got home from work so that we could get to Utah sooner on Saturday. We spent the night in La Grande, half way in between our houses. It is much nicer in two days. I'm wondering if we might start doing that all of the time.......

We spent a lot of time rockin' out to the tunes and dancin' in the back seat. Anything to pass the time.

Here's a bunch of stuff we did, in between playing games and watching movies, while we were there.

Weldon and Julie's

The Monday we were there we went out to spend the day with Weldon and Julie since Monday's are Weldon's day off. We had to see his house that just got finished, so we went their direction. We are very proud of Weldon! He has done an amazing job on his house. He has a great talent for sure!

After a yummy lunch, we took off to a hot springs water park that is close to Weldon's. It was a super fun afternoon hanging out at the pool and going down the slides.

After the water park, Weldon and Julie took us to a seasonal restaurant up in the mountains. The setting was very beautiful! We ate outside right next to a beautiful river. It was a great day you guys!

The Gamer Boys

I love these two pictures! Tyler is really turning into his father for sure! He just followed Jeff around the entire time we were at their house either playing games with him, or watching him play games. He was Jeff's little shadow. Too cute! Jeff will be a great dad some day.

The Game Center

I think this is a favorite haunt of Scott and the kids. He is raising a couple of gamers for sure! It was a fun, cool place to spend a couple of hours playing games. I wanted to roller-blade, but didn't have any socks. Oh well. It was fun watching the kids have fun, and we even got a round of pool in.

Ice Blocking

We spent one evening at the park ice blocking. We have tried this little past time before and didn't think much of it, but I guess a lot of the fun you have doing things is just the company you are with. It was nice to hang out at the park and have a good time.

Towards the end when most people were done going down the hill, the boys started trying to do tricks on the ice blocks. Most didn't work out, but it was funny watching them try!

Frizbee Volleyball

No trip to the Hamblin's would be complete without a round of frizbee volleyball. It was fun until the injuries started happening. Aaron tweaked his groin, and Jess dove to catch a "ball" and scrapped herself up pretty bad. Apparently this court is only about 2-3 inches sand and then it's concrete. She went clear down to the concrete and scrapped up her foot and knee pretty bad. We still had fun though!

Cache County Fair

The fair was in town the week we were in Logan. It's smaller than the King County Fair, but for Logan it's pretty big. It doesn't cost to get in, so it gave us something to do in the nice weather.

Fire PIt

The Hamblins got a brand new fire pit right before we got there, so we had the inaugural lighting and smores. I love sitting around the fire at night, and fire pits are perfect, because you can do it and not even have to go camping.

Star Gazing

The week we were in Utah was the week of the Perseid Meteor Shower. The skies are so much more vivid at the Hamblin home vs. ours, so we were excited about this. We spend several nights out on the trampoline or hammock just watching the starts. Unfortunately we only saw a few shooting stars, but the skies were beautiful anyway, and the company great. We had a lot of laughs on that trampoline!!! The neighbors probably hated us!
